Mansueto, Polsky back Northwestern biotech spinout

A Northwestern University drug-development spinout has raised $4 million from investors including Morningstar founder Joe Mansueto. Grove Biopharma uses artificial intelligence to create synthetic proteins, speeding up drug development and potentially making treatments safer and more effective. The company is commercializing technology developed by Northwestern researcher Nathan Gianneschi. Initially it will focus on Huntington’s and Parkinson’s diseases.
